Mary was raised in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, where she lived with her Mom, brother and sister until she was 17 years old. She has been riding horses since the age of four. Mary started riding Saddlebred horses but moved on to Arabians and Half-Arabians by the time she was eight. Mary rode with Rushlow's Arabians of Romulus, Michigan for most of her riding career.

Mary still owns her childhood horse, Heart An Soul, aka Leo, who was given to her by her mom and grandparents when she was 13. Leo was two years old and Mary trained him herself. Leo carried Mary to many blue ribbons through her 14-17 youth career in Half Arabian Hunter Pleasure, Equitation and Sidesaddle. In 2005, Mary obtained a national Top Ten award at the National Show Horse Finals in Hunt seat Equitation 14-17. In 2006, she rode at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and came home with a Top 10 in Half Arabian Hunter Pleasure JTR 14-17 and a 3rd overall in Hunt seat Equitation 14-17.

After graduating high school in 2006, Mary moved to Salt Lake City, Utah with her trainer, Julie Daniel-Adams, whom she started with in 2005, to pursue her dream of becoming a horse trainer. Mary recently went professional and purchased a 3 year old Half Arabian in which she is training and will introduce to the class A circuit at the end of 2010.

Mary dreams of owning her own training facility and taking her riders to the National level. Mary specializes in children 8 and older, as well as adults. Mary currently resides in West Jordan, Utah with her husband Brantley, her two dogs and her two cats.
