Kelcie Beck
"Beck"

(801) 870-6519        (page on down for price list)

There are two trainers at Vista named "Kelcie" (the other being Kelsey McKinnon), so we usually refer to the two "Kelcie's" by their last names.  This is "Beck."

Beck has basically grown up at Vista.  She has ridden here since she was 8 yrs. old.  For a few years, Beck didn't have a horse to call her own, but eventually got a rescue horse (Smokey) that she trained into a wonderful dressage horse, with tons of patience and dedication (and more patience).

As she grew into a teenager, Beck rode and trained a lot of green and inexperienced horses that needed good saddle time over the years.

Beck now has two horses (Smokey passed away in Aug. '08), "Jetta", a bay roan Quarter horse and "Rhed", her flaxen maned, chestnut National Show Horse.  She trained Jetta from a 3 yr old and has trained Rhed since he arrived at Vista 3 yrs ago.  Beck and Rhed competed at Arabian Sport Horse Nationals in Boise in Sept. '10.  While they didn't move to the final round, they did get on a judge's card!  She's truly taken her horses far.

Beck has a lot of experience with lessons and kids; she's helped to run horsey summer camp programs for many years.  She has a great eye for detail and has a great way of communicating lessons to kids and adults alike.

Kelcie teaches beginners to national level riders and horses; from Western to English and 4-H.  Her teaching style is progressive and goal oriented.

Beck also offers full training for your horse; from breaking babies to keeping your top-level show horse at the top.

We at Vista look forward to Beck being with us for many years to come.
