Vista Farms Annual Halloween Show 2007

      Our Halloween Show was held Oct 27 this year.  Unfortunately, Wendy & Candice had to be out of town at the Las Vegas Ammy Show with some of our Vista Farms family.

      We had quite a few people that don't board at Vista....which just made it all the better!  It was an absolutely gorgeous day!  The 1st Saturday in 4 weeks with no rain, lucky us!

      We started out with the horse and rider costume parade!  There were so many great costumes that everyone won a prize!

       After a break for some of us to change out of costume, we continued with our games!  Musical Cones, which came down to the wire with Kat and Jessica playing for keeps, but Beans and Jess won by a hair.  The Egg Stomp, which Beans & Jess also won.  The Dollar Bill race coming down to Bergen, Kandi & Emma, with McKinnon having to take over with the command calls so *someone* would finally win....which was Bergen.  Tiffany & Corbin tied with Megan & Bergen for the Ribbon Race, which was also impossible to get some of the teams out!

      We broke for lunch and returned to do the Relay Race.  The 1st team, Selina, Andrea, Kandi, & Tiffy won by over 10 seconds!  Even with Chessy taking the extra lap!

       Then, we went outside for the rest of the day.  Riders did a lot better at the Apple Dunking than most of the horses....some of the horses caught on quick, some just did not get it.  The same went with the Obstacle Course.  Jess & Bean and Kat & Soup tied for the Obstacle Course and Selina & Cosmo won the Apple Dunking.

       The speed games were next.  We split into trot and gallop classes for the poles and for the barrels.  Kayla McKnight and Shazz won the gallop classes on both.....big surprise, not.  ;-)  Forgive me, but my memory is going and I don't remember who won the trot classes.

      The last game was the Rescue Me race.  While McKinnon & Kat on Goody were quite impressive, Beck & Kayla Snodgrass on Smokey pulled off the best horse parallel parking I've ever seen (car or horse) and won 1st place!  Kandi gets an honorable mention as being the most popular 'Damsel in Distress'.

      McKinnon then judged some Liberty entries....Kat & Chocolate, Selina & Fizzy, Andrea & Chessy, Kandi & Jimmy, Tiffy & Viva all showed off their stuff.
